OBD Scantool toolbar

This service provides access to current emission related data values, including analog/digital inputs and outputs, and system status information.

Select Diagnostic Data

Upon initial selection of this service, a list of all emission-related data supported by the vehicle under test is generated. A progress bar will be displayed during this time. Upon completion of this task the user may select those items that they wish to display the data for either by selecting the item in the list (a tick will appear next to the item to indicate that it is selected), selecting the box next to the required item or by pressing the "Select All" button.

Items may be deselected either by reselecting the required item, pressing the required tick box or by pressing the "Clear All" button

To display the selected items press the "Display" button.

Selecting and displaying all signals will result in a slow data refresh rate.

Diagnostic Data Values

The selected items will now be displayed. If data is available for a single ECU only then that data will be displayed immediately. If data is available across multiple ECU’s then the user is required to select which ECU(s) to display the data for either by selecting the required item from the "ECU Modules" list or by pressing the "Select All" button. ECU data may be deselected either by reselecting the required item within the "ECU Modules" list or by pressing the "Clear All" button.

Multiple Response Symbol

When diagnostic data from multiple modules indicate values for the same Parameter ID, the symbol shown above, will be displayed in the "Address" column of the display, for each module:

The user may toggle between imperial and SI unit types by selecting the "Imperial" or "Metric" buttons respectively.
