Mode $7: Request On-Board Monitoring Test Results for Continuously Monitored Systems

This service enables "pending" emission-related DTC’s to be obtained. "Pending" DTC’s are those detected during the current or last completed drive cycle under normal driving conditions. This service is required for all DTC’s and is independant of Service 3 ("Confirmed" DTC’s).

This service is intended to assist a technician following a vehicle repair and DTC Clear (Service 4) by reporting test results after a single drive cycle. If the applicable test failed during this drive cycle then the associated DTC(s) will be displayed.
NOTE: DTC’s reported by this service do not necessarily indicate a faulty component or system.

Read DTC's

When the user clicks on the Read DTCs button, any currently active DTC’s reported are displayed in the DTC list as shown. If a DTC has commanded the Malfunction Indication Lamp (MIL) ON, The following icon will be displayed against the DTC.
